We, those that believe in other lives, come to Bear Paw's challenge from the point of view of one of them, a protagonist of the Great Sioux War.

Poem Artwork

Dedicated to Bear Paw

Genuine is a friend, like a diamond
Encrusted on our weak consciousness,
Often forgotten when things go wrong
Relegated like it was a cheap bijouterie,
Great friends are there, for a reason.

Enchanted love, it came and went away
Dashing by my heart, leaving it forlorn,
Volatile, ethereal kisses of a fairy girl’s
Adamantine lips, promises granted not,
Returning always where dreams dwells,
Dreams that my starving heart never got.

Mythical life of a wandering dream poet,
A man that lived many such life’s before,
Thunder and drums in paper were written
Enthralled, silence also have a own voice
Often ignored by man, not from an humble
Sioux, wandering forever where is a storm.

Wounded Eagle
Sioux
1839-1881

Georg, how beautifully written. To put words such as these together and onto "paper" for others to read, to see, opens your heart to those on the outside. Lovely, beautifully written.

Wonderful, deep, passionate writing and could you even begin to imagine the changes Wounded Eagle saw in his lifetime as the entire world changed around him?

"...returning always where dreams dwell, dreams that my starving heart never got..." We carry it forward, don't we? Even if we can't see the past clearly, the impression is felt intuitively. One wonders how much control and to what degree we really have in our destiny. Wow, great response to the challenge!

Wounded Eagle,
I have known you in that other lifetime, I am sure of it. Whether a friend or a lover I am not sure. It is becoming more clear every day.
this my, dear friend, is an amazing piece of past life regression poetry. I have these sometimes myself, especially when I am writing my Karena series. I have lived during her time, it is so real to me.
I shall write a piece for this challenge tomorrow. Off to the beach for me.
Have a wonderful day and may the Great Spirit send you blessings of abundance and peace.
Many hugs and love,
Amber "V" aka Karena, Eagle Medicine woman
