It is very seldom if ever, that one is asked by a great poet to collaborate with him/her and it fills your heart with that warmth of not being alone etching your words on unvisited stone walls.
Fee asked me, but he forgot to set his picture besides mine, so I will do it for him, cos, I do think he should be there as the Poet friend of the Soldier.

The Poet Dips His Pen

Fee:
I shall use my poet’s pen and reach out
To the integrity of hope in all mankind,
I’ll find the words that no one’s heard
open wide the eyes of the politically blind.

Georg:
Talk is cheap but action is what counts,
in soldiers foxholes is rests the real truth,
warriors are born and warriors will die
defending freedom with the lives of youth.

Fee:
Perhaps I shall write a hero’s novel so sincere
twill make the foulest leaders openly weep,
aye, as a poet of war and death I’ll write in blood
‘til through gun barrels peace vines slowly creep.

Georg:
While you write I’ll lead the warriors charge
to vanquish tomorrow from the liars false charms,
an unending legion, marching like thunder,
on the cobblestoned road of a world in arms.

Fee:
I’ll write songs of peace and harmony,
A song for a million young voices to sing aloud;
I’ll deliver them words of hope so all can cope,
soon in silent victory together we’ll stand proud.

Georg:
When bullets fly and little children cry…
the hell of war is upon our homes for sure,
soldiers will stand between you and them,
your enemies, who said God can be no more.

Fee:
Aye, tis the poet of meek and tender heart
and the warrior tall and strong…
Lion and lamb, we must unite to end
greed’s war and make right the wrong!
