Written in free verse, this poem boldly tells of the people in the world today and how all that matters is sex, drugs, and being fake.
This world, this world
It’s driving me insane
Everyone’s so selfish
They don’t think with their brains
Concern, concern
Their only concern
Is who their next cock will be
Or what kind of smoke to burn
Should it be a good ol’ cigarette or rolled up grass
Should it be Coke as a powder
Or Coke in a glass?
Or maybe an injection
I can handle infection
In love?
Who cares
Yeah, I’d f*** you
What happened to morals and values?
Everyone’s hazy
This world, this world
It’s driving me crazy
I want him
He’s my best friend’s ex
Who cares?
I’d f*** him best
Don’t you see me?
I’m the world today
I’m selfish and cold
I’d stab my best friend in the back
She’s hurting
Who cares?
At least I got him in the sack
This world, this world
It’s driving me up the wall
Take off that mini-skirt
We don’t want to see it all
But I’m hot and I’ll flaunt it
And then laugh in your face
Because I believe I’m beautiful
And you’re just a disgrace
Because you're not like me
You see?
I see
Indeed
I cover it up and talk like a person
While you laugh to impress
I write out my emotions
This world, this world
It’s tearing me apart
I don’t know who to trust
Who’s true of heart?
Who knows right from wrong?
Who shares the same morals?
They’re all the same
In this cold-blooded world
