To ALL mothers and to their children who have now assumed the role of caregivers.

Mother dearest You hold a special place Within our hearts For in our adolescent years You were always at our side… Now, the role has reversed You have become somewhat childlike And we have assumed the grown-up role By your side we will steadfast be Caregiver, as you were to us... Tender, loving, patient!

How tenderly you write of this, Lena, and instead of writing of it as a burden you honor your mother in such a beautiful way.
