Attach a dream to an illusion
and bind that mystic fusion
in a web of thought, emotion and ideas
infuse the breath of divinity
from the dark depths of infinity
and a vision of reality appears;
of objects, which occupy a place
in the endless weave of time and space
as, through a lens of conciousness
observed reality, shaped by perception
is given meaning and direction,
thus our need to give some form
to the cosmic order may be served.
Conciousness, interpreter of dreams,
applicator of logic and of reason
plucks order out of chaos and so redeems
the farrago of uncatalogued thought,
fantastic schemes, glorious delusions,
nebulous ideas, and gives them context,
constructs a world, subtle and complex,
from the random inputs of the senses,
a world of actions and consequences.
Each human mind, unique, diverse,
Creator of a universe.
