A dream is a play you script and direct,
act in and react to – being all things
you see – whose object stages you subject
in sorting cruel fortune's arrows and slings.*
A heritage mansion, she's in the midst;
overhead, priceless heirlooms cob-webs dressed,
with steep railingless staircase fears to resist-–
heights -- reaching temptations phobia-stressed.
She's a fox fleeing flushed of her cover,
the hunt she feels for her beast’s heartbeat race;
outstretched arms of an animal lover
safe-havens mob’s rule she reads in her face.
Dreams redesign puzzle pieces you find:
Read yours and hers blending wit, heart and mind.

Intense, vivid, mood enhancing,
your poem got me in touch with a long forgotten part of myself.
