This is how I feel when I hear the negative comments people have about about living without all of the extras they had before this "recession". You sum it up with, "A flexible mind, knows how to survive." Bravo!!

What's the point in panicking? Some of us will already be gone by the 2012 deadline and some of us will be too drunk to care. The rest of us might as well just get on and have a good year.

It's so strange to think that such a massive, all-powerful beast could be snuffed like these great Ancients; like you say, invincibility is perhaps a "dinosaur" mindset that needs to be challenged and humility (that much-maligned and misappropriated virtue) is the way forward to achieve that flexibility of mind that will cause us all to survive.
