Suffering and Glory

You can't have one, without the other:
CHRIST proved that on the Cross;
Had He chosen not to die our death,
Truly, ALL...would have been lost.

Had He chosen not to suffer the weight
Of our sin and grief and sorrow;
- Had e'er the Creator abandoned us! -
There would never be Tomorrow...

 That's why Jesus is called SAViour.

As we, today, with our heavy hearts
Lay our loved one's bones unto their rest,
We know that he, has passed on to Glory
Having withstood the final test..
 Death and the grave.

As for those of us, who must wait behind
'Tis a Believer's different story;
For yet, a little while, we must linger...
 In the throes...of Suffering and Glory.
