Strength and Dignity
are her clothing
and she laughs at
The time to come.
She is secure in the future with the LORD.
She has planned carefully and prayerfully
She has gone to great lengths to see to it
That her family will have whatever they need
From her hand, in every season.
She opens her mouth
with wisdom and the
teaching of kindness
Is on her tongue.
She does not speak idle or foolish words
She does not scathe with her tongue
She does not defile her children with profanities
She does not gossip or slander others
She speaks, and it is an embrace
Even in discipline she is kind and just, though firm.
She looks well to the ways
of her household and
does not eat the bread
Of idleness.
She keeps her home clean and welcoming
She prepares meals and mends clothes
She attends to the multitude of tasks
That keep her family running smoothly
She is no busybody, but takes care to
Mind her own business.
She uses her time wisely and makes the most
Of each day.
Her children rise up
and call her blessed
her husband also
He praises her.
Her children have been nurtured in the LORD
Her children feel loved, safe, secure.
They are well-bred, thankful, and content.
They gratefully acknowledge she is a Blessing!
Her husband rejoices in the woman he married
He is pleased by the behavior of his children
Wrought carefully under her attention
His wife has brought him much honor,
Among his friends and fellow-workers.
"Many women
have done excellently,"
he lovingly tells her
"But you, have outdone them all."
