I would like to earnestly give thanks and praise to Almighty GOD for everyone who is serving, will serve, or has already served GOD & Mankind through the US Armed Forces… even as I remember all those who have gone before us, making the ultimate sacrifice.. that we may remain free.  I also thank GOD for our Allies, and think of them and their losses this day..
 

”Receive them, therefore, in The LORD, with all gladness, and hold such men and women in esteem, because, for the work of The Christ, he or she came close to death, disregarding their own lives…” Philippians 2:29

FREE, INDEED

I stand solidly, upon this sacred ground
Remembering the Brave Hearts’ deeds;
Recalling images and explosive sounds
That I… may be free… indeed.

I hear the cries of the wounded —-
Rent flesh, sordid bodies, left behind to bleed
Until the life inside them, lies outside — in a pool,
And yet, I… am free… indeed.

I see the path of fear that crosses each face,
But Valor is the greater need;
They gallantly call upon their Last Reserve,
For they, too… are free… indeed.

To say that history repeats itself,
Is like planting an immutable seed;
[Or to agree with wise King Solomon that]
’There’s nothing new under the sun’
When you.. are free.. indeed.*
