Come spring…we await your arrival

Has spring fever come early for me this year? It’s twenty-eight degrees outside. We are still in February but this year I am really longing for May to come. The most beautiful transformation takes place each year and the Earth once more dresses in elegance. I am awaiting… if somewhat impatiently for her wonderful awakening.

Poem Artwork

Oh how I look forward to spring when the last of the snow melts away.

How my heart sings as each daffodil blooms and when the Dogwood blooms in May.

I have waited patiently through the winter cold… longing for the soft spring breeze.

It is then that the flowers bloom with various colors and the leaves return to the trees.

Spring is a time of renewal… a time of awakening of the Earth.

When the flowers, trees and even the wildlife experience a wonderful rebirth.

Oh how I look forward to spring for my body cries out for its wonders.

I find myself admiring every small show of life; even the rain with lightning and thunder.

I sing along with the man from Camelot as he so eloquently sings the phrase.

“It’s May… it’s May… the lusty month of May,” he sings of the renewal of spring days.

Oh how I long for the spring to come with its beautiful skies of blue and white.

I long to admire each cloud that floats by and take in everything in sight.

Oh how I look forward to spring for as nature is reborn again.

I am reminded that I too will be reborn in a land where there is no sin.

Refreshing and makes me hungry too for the arrival of spring. Already cut the rose bushes back and seeing new growth here in Texas. As Karla has written, it has gotten windy, cold, down right C O L D! We even had a wind storm from East Texas dirt I'd never seen before last weekend. Good point! Refreshing! Thanks

Each new day, each new year; each change of season brings renewal; a time to refresh, a time to start all over. God sure knew what He was doing when He created the world and planted us in it. Great write, Lew, gentle and sweet, flowing from your loving heart. Thank you.

Peace and love
