Have been struggling with syntax and failing tools trying to get Ron's Place back up under ronhullauthor(dot)com. All we have to do is look at nature when we get frustrated with our feeble technology.
Windmills
I've been jousting windmills,
trying to be or not to be.
Out on the barren landscape,
as far as eye can see.
Life throws up its endless barriers,
just when you think you're free.
Just sneaky little reminders,
tossed from calm to stormy sea.
The more we try to simplify,
and rely on technology.
The more we are tied up,
in newfound complexity.
Just when you think you can't go on,
too tired to be a busy bee.
Think of nature's intricate path,
go out and hug a tree.
A breath of fresh air....ah, it does wonders, doesn't it?
Your poem is certainly not boring. You really have a way with words and quite an imagination.

Amen, Ron. Isn't it amazing how the wonderful tool that we call a computer can often over-complicate an already overly busy life? Techology is a wonderful gift, but one which can also drain one's energy. I guess it could been seen as a blessing and a curse! Good luck with your upgrades and congratulations for writing this wonderful take on the simplicity of nature, as opposed to the complexity of technological advances and upkeep.
I concur entirely with your sentiments here Ron. And I know that hugging a tree is just another way of saying, go out and embrace nature in all its fullness and majesty.
Nature does have a centering affect on the mind and spirit. And it also brings out the best in me personally as a man and an artist. No egos to fight, no battles with anothers opinions, no competition, nothing but peace and beauty. Because of this, I am in it every week.
