a poem written shortly after being temporary custody of my small granddaughter

Poem Artwork

With so few years behind you
Memories are quick to leave
You won’t remember the hour-long pony rides
And swimming in the canal
Bedtime stories read and re-read,
Splashing in mud and slush puddles
Minutes, hours and days go by
Before you are old enough to remember
But, dear granddaughter, please remember the love

So wise and a brilliant amount of horse sense here, Karen. Love is precious and so are grandchildren. You're a good provider and Remember The Love would do well passed down in your family from generation to generation of children...Blessed Be.

A heartfelt write~
I remember my grandmother and grandfather very well, and yet I was only four...I think there are even things, not yet called, that sit in our subconcious, that even goes beyond rememberance...and then you grow up and wonder why you loved horses so much, or swimming in a canal, or loving to read, or become a mud wrestler! Smiles!
She will know and she will rememeber... I loved your write Karen~
Love and Peace~

Karen this brought back many nice events with my grandchildren...those moments quickly vanished
and I find myself wanting them back so much.
Thanks for sharing. P.S. I also stop to jot down
words that sometime flow & keep flowing. I'm so
glad they do!~
