Born May third in the early morn
I slept in the barn, too excited to sleep
But sleep did find me, I missed the moment
But my smile was uncontained
As I saw my Dusty boy laying in the straw
"Ha! Ha!" My siblings laughed, "He's Pink!"
And that he was-A strawberry roan to be precise
with a white face and long white stockings
But oh, to this eight year old girl
There was not a more beautiful pony
Not anywhere, not ever!
Dusty was my best friend, through good and bad
My confidant, my teacher
Dusty, your wings were earned many times over
Oh, How I loved you!
A real beauty!
Thank you shared your heart Karen!
I bet Dusty feels your love!
YOu were Blessed and he was too!!!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
A loving tribute to your first pony; well done! You took me and introduced me to this special friend in your life.
(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
As with all those we miss we always have the memories to
keep their spirits alive within us. Beautiful poem, thanks for sharing!
