New Year 2011
 
It doesn't seem right, my sister,
To cross the threshold to the new year,
Without you.
 
I remember staying up through midnight,
Listening to the past years top 100 songs,
As Casey Kasem counted them down.
 
And I remember calling you at midnight,
Anxious to be the first to wish you a happy new year,
And to call you before you called me.
 
Then as years went by (and we were getting older),
We just called before we went to bed,
Or first thing the next morning worked just as well.
 
The last time we were together for this event,
Was when 2008 blew into 2009,
We were so filled with hope as you recovered from your transplant,
Surreal it is now that you are gone.

Life goes on Karen . You were lucky to have such a wonderful sister and she will always be a part of you. I believe that if love is strong enough , it can reach to the heavens..... I know it because it happened between me and my little grandon Joshua who died in 2000. I wrote about him several times . He's still a part of me and always will be....M

Life moves on...sometimes without pieces of our hearts. I wish you love and peace and joy and precious memories as you continue through your journey of grieving.

Hi Karen....life is at times so joyous and so sad, we wonder why our Higher Power, Our God, places these emotions or for that matter why we are placed here to feel these emotions...maybe it is just the thoughts or memories that God wishes us to reflect upon...either way I am saddened and feel this just from reading your thoughts....

I wish you ALL the Best that Life may offer you and send you my deepest sympathy for your loss...

May God Bless You with a most joyous year and may He Touch your Heart with comfort....
