A seed, I have planted hand in hand
with the flower of my singing soul.
I pray it will grow and feed hungry
and thirsty lives forever and ever.
The seed, I have planted with sweat
and fatigue under the rain and the sun.
Scorn and refusal, the world grants me,
talks and smiles are my heavy weapons.
Now I begin to see the seed growing well
in a pot of restless prayers and hard efforts,
watered with total patience and pure trust.
Lifelong dreams are its only fertilizers.
The time will come to harvest with joy,
the grains of the wheat of long patience.
Dances, poems, and songs will be amusing.
The blessings of the Almighty will come.
This time, fatigue will reign no longer,
weeping will turn into laughter of victory,
pockets will be full of gold and diamonds,
hearts and souls will be full of exultation.
