The letter told of early plans for the big class reunion in 2009. Could they have been mistaken?

THE CLASS OF '59

A friendly-looking letter came
in the mailbox today.
It must be for some other Faust;
Just couldn't be mine -- no way!

Although it had my proper name,
and that school I did attend,
I'm sure it's not the 50th year
for me and my high school friends!

Come to think of it, a few of them
are looking old these days...
Still...fifty years?  Just couldn't be...
since the end of high school days.....

Dear Lucy always keeps in touch;
she's the stalwart Phillies fan...
and Bonnie guides on bus trips,
smiling sweetly as only she can...
My freshman crush, Cool Eddie,
married twice...rich now, I hear...
I wonder if his hair still waves...
or if it's even there!

I suppose I will ask Lucy
the next time that she calls.
"Lucy,"  I'll ask, "how long is it
since we walked down those halls?"
I 'spect she'll think it over,
she'll scratch her head and then...
"How many years?"  she'll echo...
"Why, I think it's going on TEN!!!"

Hurray for the Purple
and the White!
Go, Team, Go!
Fight, Team, Fight!

This is just marvelous...I celebrated my 50th reunion this year & we all "looked" older. I enjoyed this to the hilt, it brought back many memories of yesterday.

hee, hee... Your sense of humor shines again...
I am amazed to think that it has been over 20 years for me... sigh...

Go, go, go! Ahh, father time spins that thread on the loom. Only yesterday I was doing upside down cobra's from Ashtanga Yoga, now it's a chore to unhinge my lower back from the sofa ;)
