Is it my imagination or is the swing in this drawing really moving?

Poem Artwork

"Do You Not? ..."

O I beg and beg, as I pray here on somber knees
I'm sitting here hoping, beyond all, asking, Will you still follow me?
Please, just, please take my hand, my heart, I am reaching out in fear.
Do you not, see my tears?

Come with me here and sit, swing with thoughts of us
as we go back and forth, feathering the air, back and forth, in this blank stare
Know in my happy heart and saddened soul, I
’ll always care
Do you not . . . know, there is nothing that can rip your aromas out of me?

Don
’t leave me now! I need you to help me, Oh please, O God!
I need you to draw out all of my sins and forgive me!
I need you to fill all my desires and ire; Please try!
Do you not, hear me cry?

Nothing that could ever happen,
nothing that could never happen . . .
I have always known that in my . . . with you, just being here that . . .
Do you not . . . feel, that you and I will always go back?

A white linen can never always stay white.
Please, don
’t go away at a time when I need your might!
Please, give reason for the trees again, give purpose to my yen.
Do you not, taste me . . . my pen?

Kimmy, my dear--
If we but give our pen only to God,
the problem of unshadowed white linen is solved.
Amen!

A passionate cry from the innermost part of your being is what I hear, Kimmy. Touching! Your retreat is lovely...inviting...peaceful. I'm sure the Lord hears your cry as He sits with you on your swing.

I love your artwork, Kimmy, as much at least as I love your always enthralling and tantalising words. You are an accomplished artist in heart, soul and spirit and bear fruit in all respects (!!) Love your quirkiness and humour and off-beat POVs that pulse just so much rhythm and joie de vivre. And don't you just believe it...that swing is positively metronomic....

Your faith in the healer is strong. I supose it all boils down to how high we swing which determins how much we need His forgiving balms.
You are right, white linin will never really be as white again, but it can be washed clean by His forgiving nature.

There is a swing moving, but it's not the one in the garden - it's the one that we mere mortals sit on or grip. We sling the rope over a ripe budding branch of life and launch ourselves off and away from God to enjoy or endure its fruit. I've been on this swing too many times to talk about. Sigh!

As refreshing as the breeze around the swing itself this beseeching of love to stay and grow is as sensual as a young girl crying after her first heartbreak. The images are are clear and vivid, I can almost see the tears rolling one at a time down your cheeks with the fear of losing somthing so wonderful as love shared. I think this is one of your best works ever Kim...

I tried sitting on the swing and my butt bounced off the screen. (-: It's a splendid piece of work Kimmy. You are a talented woman.

For me, not knowing the true intent, the poem reads like a heart-rending modern Psalm. Like David crying out to be understood and filled with what was lacking in his life. This moved me!
