Foretokens clutch me, in a whiteness plume in a never stop chain of surrounding Exhumed from dust to the brightest of flames ‘Twilled, Alas! Encircling colors!
All seemed to step out of their skins as a love undressed me up in my sleep A luminary gave warmth to such cold in my feat Blown in your face smoke caught me, I breathed!
Every heart contains the kindling and every soul has love to illume Bewaring prides’ glass of dejection Reflecting, recoil sparks toward a life of that could!
I found myself turned and transplanted Upon Eden’s benevolence in tiers Seedlings of sneers, not one color did cry! For hope ne’er withers, nor mercy ne’er willed, sighs
Distilled tendrils of our souls rediscovered, asking, "How selfish could I ever be?" Watch the flared words of a tongue licking dirt Will be it, they’ll be ridding runes’, filing the sharpest of teeth!
Your poem is worthy of much more than a single reading, Kimmy. There is much substance for thought in your verses. Thank you for sharing. Love and peace,
Wow, Kimmy a very thought provoking write...reminds me of classic literature...Dante's Inferno..where those who were sentenced to hell suffered the consequences of the sins they committed while on earth! Great write my friend, very stirring, creative, and again...thought provoking! Enjoyed!

Stunning to say the least with deep undertones of deepness that requires the reader to read and reread as we contemplate the various possibilities and the drama continues.
Gee, what's this? Nothing more than a bad dream I hope.
Congratualations on your daughters acceptance.
Live for God, girl. Live for eternal bliss.

Descante's Inferno springs to mind here.
Sounds like a night as a thrown rune spent spinning round in a dark coldron, rescued only by the benevolence of a vacant, but still life sustaining Eden.
Distilled tendrils? - illumine my consciousness please.

These are deeply touching verses, my friend Kimmy Van Kooten. Excellent write
This is a book of free verse poetry that addresses the seven main tests in life and offers some sensible solutions to passing those tests with minimal discomfort.
This book represents a thirty-day period of my poetry journal. Each poem addresses
the dominant thoughts occupying my mind during the early morning hours of a given
day.
