photograph 1965, My front yard, down the lane at 100 Lindberg Ave.in Allentown, Pa
I gather under standing looking up a stalk of corn in haying rolling valleys all around my brain, was born I breathe in again the crisp horse air swinging branch to branch, biting big on Bartlett pears!
I sprawl in the grass, seeing infra Poplars sway Now, picking Bing cherries, "Shoo! You greedy Blue Jays!" Condoling in a coolness where rocks shinny up a hill Barefoot life edges slating o'er slivered sills
Prance a hop-skip to my peaceful place! A pine tree forest laden with a needled lace blanketing on bridal paths led me flowing rivers' brook A rainbow's in the sky dangling off the ends of hooks!
The Maple trees' in yellow, even greens and bare I see snow atop of fences waiting for my mitten, fair . . . the manure piles steam, to rise higher in my lows while the black crow caws, "...steal it from their silos!"
Eyeing square the kernel, each significantly rowed waiting for my teeth to rip away at its harvest yellow glow . . . I look up knowing this one really crops a purpose! Every savor passing present, of this my life a knowing presence has been Oh so worth it!
...beautiful Kimmy...your words of worth...give us golden values...and held memories of your hearts painting...you hold so dear.
