"The Bite" Artwork by Kimmy Van Kooten

“If everybody's thinking alike, somebody isn't thinking.” Douglas MacArthur

Poem Artwork

"Grammar made me do it!"
...referring to all his rules and regulations
on blot and blab . . .
“It’s imperative you do this!", he said.

Hi! My name is -ed, singular,  regular,  verb kinda guy.  . . .
Nothing like the ones I swam with
or who taught me how to fly . . .
For when I flew, I felt . . .

Send me to the modifiers!
...adding all the A ‘jectives and verbs, so I can act upon . . .
That person . . . that place!
That thing!

Well, being a phrase I couldn’t’ stand on my own . . .
Conjunction at its best, into his alphabet of consonants
I, being the vowel,  He the bowel, like the colon of all colons
A-paunch’d,  in some state of punctuation . . .

What else would one use to describe such an ass?

He,  who makes his lists,  and points out all our faults . . .
“Live by my examples!”, he says . . .
Can you PLEASE save me from such agreements?! . . . Antonym, I’m not!

Comma, let us separate the two . . . I need rest . . .
I, in my state of contractions, I am . . .   I’m . . .
Declarative! . . . stating,  definite and direct . . .
Ready to receive . . .  ready for action!

Exclaim the law? Why,  never!
And Your point? . . .
I own the apostrophe’s of myself, thank you!
My Articles of Thee . . .  indefinite,  in the independent ans and always before the vowel!

Auxiliary-ly speaking, I should have won that race!
I am the first person!
You, who I speak to, will always be second!
He, she, it . . . shit!  He’s the shit all right . . .  thrice in line to my throne! (:!)

"Get your bibliographies in order!", I say
"Y?”
Clause.
In the capital letter of all capitals at the beginning of.  You!
The main about . . .   although we all prefer to travel in groups, independently and dependently. . . from the moment of capitalization to our periods. . .
And esp. if we abbreviate, do object!

Yes! And interject, sons, interrogatively setting yourself off
To utilize every italic in this here sentence we call,  Life!
If we’re not first, we’re gonna be just another long ass line of lowercases,
Lettered as some old lone noun
. . . like fulled cows with no milkers!

(Always parenthesize when you get off your subjects!
Pluralize, if need be . . . in a possessiveness to every prefix
Prepositionally within pronoun’d  paragraphs. . .
  indent even!)

If such a sentence lives, predicate included. . .  plot me in your storylines!
In MY style, suffix-ing with the synonyms, un-tense’d
Laying aside the uppercase’s. . .  under the bright suns of verbal topics, swimming
past, and presently along,  by and by,  preposition-ing,  all and any future songs
from the Book of Homonyms, metaphorically, in an order of survival. . .
I will now ask, in question, (pause. . .)

“Won’t a semicolon do?”

writing is such Kimmy, can be kind of scarey for some, your poem fits it well and all the confusion a writer can go through or is it threw, what's a writer to do, cheers

Nice tirade of the King's English, as yet unmastered by this poor poet.

I agree with Richard, this is brilliant, Kimmy, and it didn't just roll of the tongue or the word processor; to make it spontaneous and as fluent as it is takes thought and time and effort...the art that lies therein
Absolutely luv it!

"Like fulled cows with no milkers"
Hahahahahahahahaha ... that image

This is just brilliant!
In my opinion one of your very best.
I'm sure it took some time and thought
to compose this Kimmyfriend. I just love
to see friends growing in their art, as you are.
You are truly a singular force. OK ...
I like you!
"On blot and blab" I love this phrase
Blessings and luv ...
