In order to figure out why we write the way we do, one must expose themselves to themselves. . .

Poem Artwork

Never ride uphill, bareback
But, if by chance you do. . . ?
Hold them reins tight!
If you don’t. . . Pray really hard, your slide off the ass end doesn’t plant yours on a rock!

It’s no wonder I write with no end in sight!
Jotting, as I go along. . .
And, why I might hide the real meanings inside. . .
Leaving it for you to figure out!

Hint: I fell off a horse, just ONCE
Fear instilled, ever since. . .
You know animals sense such nonsense
Oh! . . . And by the way, my eyes, too, seem things much bigger than they really are!

Where, pebbles become rocks
Pens; corrals (. . . In order to see my readers, with a saddle on every one!)
Contravention, at its best!
Or, a darn good hold on the mane. . .maybe?

Spur the belly to tame!; to balance
Be aware!
Knowing, once you fall off its practically impossible to get back on!
That is, unless you find a stone wall to hoist yourself back up!

I hung my shirt on it and wrote of sunsets. . .

This had me laughing, as I have had a similar experience. "Lady" was her name and biting was her game. I got back on though as I had no choice!

A very enjoyable write!

Ah, but these animals do have a tail on which to cling...but then one has to be reaction quick to reach out and grab!

This one made me laugh, Kimmy! Next time, whisper sweet nothings in the animal's ear and it might oblige a safe ride. :)

Hugs,
Lena

Once rode an old mare, in a constant state of falling off. Will continue to write uphill, but may never get to the top.

Clever and well-shared, Kimmy. You've reminded me that I do like looking at horses but not riding them... ...lol! Love and best wishes,

Pithy and humorous, leaving the reader with mixed thoughts. Yes it's , as it's a long hike back.
