Reading about
International adoptions
Makes me think of
My own experience
She was from my own state
But has an exotic look
And is often quite mysterious
She came upon a Christmas time
The Social Worker said
Her name is Star
The years went by
And she asked me if
I would help her find her roots
I did and then she left me flat
And my heart cracked open in two
The blood rushed out
And I felt real bad
We've reunited now and I
Forgot the years of sad
Surprise is a part of life
And for that I am glad
touching words. i think we all have a need to find where we come from, but where we have been does not become less important. sometimes one just has to get their priorities sorted out.
