We Lost Andrea at 3 months old she was a water head baby, Ryan at 14 months to a infection in is air ways and Cody we lost when he was 6 years old to cerabal palsy and other health issues, This poem was for anyone who has lost a child to illness in hope that they no there child is with God please leave review thanks
THE PROMISE OF A BUTTERFLY
Where do they go when they die so young?
Their life never really begun.
Sick from the day they are born,
Is it fair God?
To make their young life so forlorn?
You’re not to question why it has to be this way.
You take all he gives day by day.
Dakota, Ryan, Andrea, and Sara
Why can’t their lives be a little fairer?
Their little bodies crippled and broken,
Their eyes that never see a butterfly.
And still you’re not to question why?
Then comes the day when they go away,
No more medicine or hospital stays.
You know you’ll miss them very much
You’ll never again be able to touch.
You think of the loved ones who’s gone on before,
They’ll greet your babies at heavens door.
It takes some of the pain away,
Because now you know they’ll be able to play.
Free of pain and crippling disease,
Now your child’s able to see.
The things you wanted your baby to do,
GOD finally kept his promise to you.

I wonder if you realy know and understand, how much truth you spoke of in your poem. "Their pain was but for a short moment". Now they are in the service of their God.
Jesus loves the little children, and welcomes them with open arms. Even while on earth, He said they should come to Him. I know they are overflowing with happiness now. And you have wisely chosen to bless God in the hardest circumstances. He will continue to use you, with the pain you have endured, to bless others.

You've had your share of pain and I admire your strength. For you accept God's will. Not many do. But who can understand God's ways? Not us, mere mortals. I agree with you that such children who die young are in a better place than we are. They are God's favorites.
What can one say about such a poem. It is softening to my heart that was hardened by the death of my six day old granddaughter ten years ago. My only consulation is that I know she is with God and will never again feel the pain of her heart failing again. Thank you.
Inspirational poetry, written from the heart and soul. Verses that are well-suited for reading on a rainy day and that are guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
