There is brilliant color everywhere,
O’er land wherever I go, Green, blue, yellow, red, and brown
Specks of color where flowers grow.
Gray shadows of animal footprints
Some bogged down light or deep
Little brown bugs and pink worms a’crawling
Or snuggled up warm and fast asleep.
Green sprigs of spongy carpet grass
Waking in winter’s cool blue shade
Pushing up from hibernating roots
Getting ready for the red lawnmower blade.
A green forest of beautiful oldtrees Blue, brown, and green against the snow
Puffy white fat bellied clouds up above
Shimmering with a glimmer and glow.
People dressed all warmly
In blues, greens, browns and reds,
Wearing bright colorful scarves
Draped loosely about their heads.
Wherever I look there is color
On the earth and in the sky.
Wherever I look there is beauty
Whispering a breathtaking sigh.

Colors were meaningful to my husband who is deceased. Every color meant something to him, red white and blue his favorite. Meant freedom. Yellow meant happiness and he enjoyed all the colors of nature. Yours is a nice poem about colors and you said it all in one poem. thanks for this poem.
