In the Darkest of Darkness
There is still light
Silently waiting,
Out of our sights

Through the fury of storms,
In all heavens power
Brilliant lights flashing
Lightning, passed thunder

As hearts begin breaking,
A souls cry for freedom
From earth, and life's lessons
Slow death, they are feeling

Anguish spent nights
Spirits weakened, and sobbing
eyes have been blinded
By veils of tears falling.

Praying to Heaven
Plea's to the Lord
Please Lord, spare me,
And let me come home...

Reasons unknown
To unanswered prayers
Gentle spirits and souls
With butterfly wings.

After the rains
Following storms
After the anguish
The pain, at last has gone

Brilliant the rainbows
Colors so bright.
Fresh is the air
Bright is the light.

Just as the rain
Renews with new life...
So, does the pain,
Give our souls, new light.


Within our souls
Surviving the storms
Our souls reflect light
Of our Spirits reborn

In the darkest of darkness
Shadows will fade
As light surely follows
New knowlege weve gained.

So Blessed the light
After the dark
Filling our souls
Colors so Bright..

My cousin says thunder is God's angels bowling in heaven. i think butterflies are our dead ones spirits coming back to us to help us. Saw one after hubby's death Aug 17 07 and it was black with blue tinged wings and white spots, a blue monarch I believe. Really do like this write about nature and you are blessed with many lovely words to write. Great write**********
