Say hello to willow
She's comfy as a pillow
Loves to play with brillo
No joke, she is a sillo

In left photo she's on
The attack to get
Knitting wool away
Forcing me to play

On right hiding behind
planter, acting like a spy
on the porch while I
Clean up spilled soil

She really is too spoiled
But I don't mind
Where she came from
They were unkind

She was so scared at first
Abused by a farm family
I had to love her out of
The fearful state she was in

Willow is a sweet delight
Even when I have to fight
To get her to behave
Guess it's true , I'm her slave..;-)

This is an old one never posted, because Willow is no longer with me. This is in remembrance, which I couldn't do earlier.I never let Willow out only on the porch. She had plenty of room to play there I was afraid to let her out by herself because she could easily get lost or stolen. One day Willow
climbed over the gate and went wandering a neighbor saw someone take her and put her in his car. That was the last anyone ever saw of her. She did have ID on, so it was theft,
or she would have been returned. I had her two years.

In answer to Janet's question, yes I have a cat sort of;-) She visits almost everyday, stays for hours, I feed her ,sit on my porch and talk with her. I call her stray, because she wandered here from somewhere in the neighborhood, and I don't know if she has an owner, but she's gone a lot of the time so I just enjoy her when she comes, and only feed her when she  asks for food. They have a way of letting you know;-) I posted a pic of her once. Stray is a  lovely golden beige colored cat with gold eyes, and looks like she's well cared for, so I don't try to keep her.She has to come upstairs to see me I'm on the second floor of a fourplex, and she followed me one time as I walked around the complex. We sit together many times to watch the sunset, then she quietly leaves. Kind of mysterious relationship we've had now for almost a year;-)

Delightful poem and pic. I was sad to read she was stolen at the end, Eileen. Human beings! Argh. Let's hope if they liked her enough to swipe her that they're good to her. Beautiful feline. :-) ~~Nordette

Eileen,

O, so sad. The apartment where I live won't allow pets, or I'd have a million of 'em. :) Dogs and cats. Beautiful tribute poem in her memory.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

I pray your Willow is well-fed, well-loved, and happy, wherever she is. You've obviously lost a true friend, and you have my sincere condolences. Thanks for this touching tribute.

I am so sorry to hear about Willow. My cat was a feral when I found her and as sweet as she can be, she can be that nasty too. If I have to dicipline her for any reason and believe me, my dicipline falls short of anything real,(a light tap on the bridge of her nose with one finger) she will turn back into that wild cat and act like she is defending kittens or something. It is nice that you have Stray and that she has you. I take care of however many strays there are in the neighborhood at any given time. I provide shelter, dry food and water. Only one of those cats would ever have a chance of being tamed, the rest are truly wild ones. Though they are not afraid of me, all but one will never let me touch them. They wait by my door knowing I will be coming out with food, but they keep a distance about one inch longer than my arm. (smile) Sweet write, Eileen.
Take care,
Sherry

How tragic to lose a pet! I know because I've grieved many times. Did you get another cat? This is such a cute poem. Willow was blessed to have you for two years.

"I had to love her out of the fearful state she was in". Many animals are the unfortunate victims of human cruelty. In a neighborhood I onced lived in there was a large population of wild cats. My neighbor decided to eliminate them by placing stric-9 in meat and putting it outdoors. Our beloved lab-shepard mix dog found it. She suffered terribly as we tried to save her. How I wish we would have let the vet put her to sleep(I couldn't let go). I had never seen my husband cry, but he did when she died. Lord knows how many cats suffered the same cruel fate. I must plea to people to please neuter and spay their cats...hopefully Willow is in the hands of loving people, oh I'm sure of it Eileen. Being a purebred the scum who stole her probably sold her for cash to a pet store and she is now with a new family. They are each of them unique, just like us, and the pain of losing them is very real...

Love, Lin

Tough way to lose your beloved cat. All we can do is hope she got a loving home and is treated well even by a thief.

Willow is a great name for a Siamese. They are so agile and like the Willow they hand down to play.

You're terrific.

Your compassionate feelings to pets and that is why we are receiving compassion from the creator. Unless we love and be kind to pets and animals hardly will God give us his mercy. It is clear that the incident is theft once it had an id and never returned but just let us hope this small and lovely creature is not harmed in anyway and let's hope that it finds love and affection in her new environ. Some thieves could be as human as anybody else in terms of caring pets. thanks Eileen and god bless you queen

It is hard to lose a pet you have grown to love, either by death, theft, or by giving her up. I had to give up my Cajun to soemone else before I could leave for Texas; it was just as bad as losing a pet to death. I cried for days, and I still sometimes get sad whenever I think of my beautiful Maine Coon. I loved her so much and still do! I wonder if she is even alive now, and if she had a good remainder of her life...*sigh*

Beautiful rememberance to Willow; she was a beauty! Very well done, Eileen! BRAVA!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :( >tears <

Sorry. About the only thing you can do is hope they didn't hurt her. Losing a pet is tough. Especially losing one in this manner.
