When the bodies unwell It travels through hell where it gets its fix On the river Styx In waters so putrid The mind can't get rid Of the horrific sights Which lacks all light That fill its nights With nought but blight conjures up nightmares That cause many scares As if gore and blood Pour out in flood While the bodies pores fill with painful sores Every nerve is taut While the battle is fought Every muscle strained Trying to sustain As every cell shouts What its all about It wants nothing more than to win the war But the battle rages Through life's many stages As the body unwell Travels through hell!
Let me echo Jude's wonderful advise, I try to do this often myself, some days it really helps...be well, safe and feel better soon...
love and peace, Carole
the spirit has the power to soothe ... channel positive energy through the aura and into the body ... stimualte it with strong and focused thoughts ... tell the body "i am getting better" ... hoepfully, it will begin to respond ...
I know of the hell of which you speak, Eileen; have degenerative arthritis. I hate this thing called pain, but I am a lot better off than a lot of people. At least I can walk and work! Very well done; hope you feel better soon!
(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(
I know this hell called chronic pain (from fibromyalgia and degenerative arthritis). For one day without pain, I'd be grateful. Don't have insurance, so I have had to learn to live with it. Isn't easy, but with God's help, I manage. :)
An excellent write--very well penned. The voice of experience comes through your words.

Eileen, I despretly know this all too well. I have bipolar and have to stay on meds that give me side effects..Thank you for this beautiful piece..
I can relate to this piece written with wonderful rhythm. I hope this isn't written about yourself... if so, I pray healing comes your way. (And now I'm off to read about George.) Thanks for this piece. Too many of us can relate.
I love the rhyme scheme and rhythm here, Eileen. As you know, I can identify with a poem like this. :-) Thank you for posting it, but I hope it doesn't mean your SLE is flaring up badly. Be well. ~~Nordette

ICK! me darlin'... what's up? Now I'm in a quandry: do I tell you how taken I am with the masterful, staccato, rhymes? the absorbing rhythm that tapped my foot, as I screwed up my face with the verbal graphics, yet admired the pure poetry of it all? Sigh
(Is this what comes from those gorgeous men ravishing your person in dark, mossy caves and in rock crevices upon the moonlit beaches?)
How should I know. I just prefer that you NOT be in pain and that you smile again. Whatever the malady, dear heart, it sure isn't messin' with your head. This is great! (unless that means your pain is great... sigh... now what???!!!) You see my dilemma, don't you? (smile) love, katy xox
I hate to see that friends have to go thru this, but unfortunately we can do little more than sit on the sidelines and cheer when you feel better and boo when you feel badly again...I will be wishing for alot more cheering in your case...Ed & rufuz (Ruffie sends licky kisses to help you to feel better)
Re-Release! No longer back-listed. Return to the Olde Ways. The hustle and bustle of modern day life has brought many of us to a quick fix attitude. This book is for those of you who are fed up; have looked at your life and your loved ones and realize
