A metal cabinet I wanted to keep
Rusted on the bottom,from moisture
Was outside on the porch with my paints
New apartment has no large porch
But a small alcove off kitchen where it fit
My nephew used something to de-rust it
I cleaned it up and painted it, looks like new
So I still have all my supplies out of the way
The project brought to mind some things
Comparing it to relationships, thought provoking
Do we give up too easily on others and ourselves ?
Leave things broken put them away on shelves?
Wouldn't it be better to clean things up if we can
Put more elbow and effort into the word understand
Aren't we and relationships worth the effort of rust
If corrosion sets in cleaning it up should be a must

I try fixing but never get around to it

Sometimes it is just better to know you done all you can and move on.
(I've painted dozens of metal cabinets in my lifetime.)

The analogy is deep and wise..
And keeping de-ruster is a must for me, as I always find another use for somethg that seems worn-out with age (double-car garage is proof of that :o). Even keep WD-40 spray handy for creakin'/achin' joints...really, it works!
Liked reading your happy reresolve.

I apologize for not reviewing your beautiful works; I fell down a series of steps, graceful me;-)
You do give us a good advice. We must all patch up our problems. Hand over the anti-rust. Victor
