~Let Me Hold You~

Come my darling
Lay beside me
Let me hold you
Deep inside me
To assuage your pain
From a world  insane
Come my dear
Release your fear
I will absorb all
Your bitter  gall

Let me be the release
That gives you peace
From the madness of war
The blood and the gore
Find solace in my love
Blessings from  above
Come my darling
Lay beside me
Let me hold you
Deep inside me...

Dear ET, in my own view, soldiers should be professionals not draftees, and after three wars, writing letters to the love ones is the hardest when they were send there not by their own choice.
A professional soldier will not go to pieces when a buddy falls, a professional soldier will cry inside and get even with the enemy.
A professional soldier will not have nightmares of PTD because he made his choice, he knew where he was going.
To force young boys to fight the politicos stupid battles is a travesty, the same travesty that the big brass in the Pentagon go along with the so called "Commander in Chief" that dodged participating in his own war by Daddy's string pulling.

Your photograph speaks volumes of what so many must endure. Your words are caring and deep emotional love in need of taking the hurt away so compassionately....

Be always safe,

What a powerful, yet tender, write, Eileen.
You are one lovely person indeed. Wouldn't
it be great if all the troops were home by
Christmas? What a way to start the new yar.
