Poem Artwork

I wander ethereal realms
in my gossamer dreams
light as a feather,like a
butterfly I flutter by
with a tender love, spread
like soft white clouds up
above,in the bright blue sky
I drift oh so  high in this
wondrous gift of mothingness,
I find the hallowed haunts of
happiness-the beauty so intense
yet , I have enough sense,to
know I cannot stay ,for it is not
my day,it is only a dream,and
I must wait for the call of the
Supreme, so I go back to the
harsh bed of reality,praying
that when I am beckoned I
will be ready for the actuallity

Eileen,
A thoughtful and haunting blend of hope, fantasy and reality but never straying from the reality, the realization of our mortality. I love your takes and angles, your points of view, and where they lead me.

Whenever we are alone in a peaceful state, breathing deeply, letting our soul to roam outside ourselves we get that affirmative nod from the guy guarding that sky's pearly doors.
ET, you don't wrote about ethereal realms...you were there.

Souls that reach to heaven know it's there, and when they return always bring back a cloud of happiness, may you be surounded by it.

I have felt this way before... My poem, "To the Brink", is about the same thing.
Those ethereal dreams keep me moving on though...:~)

When it's your time, it's your time. And this is a very interesting poem. The beckoning of heaven can be intriguing. But not yet time. Excellent. Liz
