Poem Artwork

Light as a feather
Dancing on air
Nothing to hinder me
Thoughts kept aware
The wind is my passion
With it I soar
Like Eagles on thermals
Flightless no more

From all encumbrances
I have been freed
From so many things
 Which I didn't need
Enlightenment teaches
Less truly is best
I'll continue my journey
filled with more zest

I fly over rainbows
With dauntless wings
My voice now flows
With new songs to sing
The sky ever beckons
With mysteries to share
I'm light as a feather
Romancing the air

One of your best poems Eileen...it made me feel 'light as a feather" too.

Oh yes!!! :)) Totally love this one, Eileen, and the pure surge of energy and sense of well-being it represents. It's a wonderful moment to suddenly arrive at this point after a time of hardship and disorientation... Even better if we can sustain it! The strong rhyme and rhythm drives this poem along, yet it is light and airy-feeling, too. Fly high and elevated! :)) xx

As one who has always held that unique and special gaseous mix of 78.84% N2, 20.95% 02, 0.934 Ar, 0.003% C02, and various trace elements (STPD) in the very highest regard (both to breathe and to navigate through), I quite enjoyed this one. Anyone who routinely spends lots of time on earth, whether at higher altitudes or on the face of the planet, certainly ought to 'romance the air', as you so adroitly referenced it. The fact that most of us take air for granted is beyond tragic; therefore, kudos to you for framing it appropriately in our awarenesses. As the bard never said, "To air is human, but to breathe divine!" Aloha mai e!

You are having an out of body experience, it is as a feeling of universal self, and connectedness, this would be a good analogy to the people,(including me) who speak of entering into the tunnel and the All there is, no more encombrances, just one. You travel agency can commercialize this trip, everyone has to take it on it's own, and as you wrote it, this certainly is an experience, or you have had a great vision. You are amazing with your perceptions my friend,
Hugs! Jasmin Horst
