Cristofori's Dream by David Lanz

Poem Artwork

Across the horizon in purple mists of
memories the universe sings

Its voice like the wind whispers over
the oceans roar, in the key I adore

Where else can you get sunrise to sunset
with such beauty you can't forget

A harbinger of hope arises from the
ashes of a former forest fire

Birds already rebuilding their nests
while other animals reclaim their turf

In  City life everything is a fast pace
people with vim and vigor all in a race

People crossing a busy city street have
a system all their own that's quite neat

My environment fills me with joy,I love
its diversity,a captivating kaleioscope

Each day opens like a flower, a rose
a daffodil,whichever I never get my fill

A dance choreographed of Horses prance
Ducks waddle, People's tap, Swans glide

I'm so thankful to be taking this life ride
I bask in the glow of the Universes show

you created a rendering, scribed verbiage of immense beauty and orchestrated them from loving, inner tranquility -- a marvelous job Eileen -- it makes me want to stop more frequently to listen for the music the universe plays for us every moment of time -- peace and love my friend -- Jon Michael

God's universe is so magnificent, it'll take another million years
to even begin to comprehend and appreciate its majesty.

Sitting quietly, saying nothing, just listening and watching brings my beautiful rose garden into a display of life that takes my breath away--sniffing the fragrance of the air, observing tiny hummingbirds dominate their invironment, seeing the young squirrel sneak over my back wall to quench his thirst at the tinkling water falling in my fountain. I'd take on the universe, but I can't seem to get beyond my own little space of heaven.

Yes, indeed, Eileen, "the universe sings." Thanks for reminding us to pause and enjoy.

Eileen,
Unbounded optimism and positive approach, genuine praise for the beauty surrounding us;
btw, they say sunsets on Mars are purple...would that be worth the trip?

Lovely, lovely poem, thank you.

Wonderful write, I enjoyed

I prefer the country life, a little slower and lots of nature

And so are you for creating this lovely poem. I shall go play his CD now, thanks for the inspiration! (Thank you Jude, lol)
