This is no way about me or my life, just a little bit of country popped into my head, thought I'd share it with you. I don't know why but I always associate country with heartbreaks, I'm sure there has to be happiness to it because I love country so much and I am always happy, next one will be a happy one.

Another Time, Another Day

Another time, another day
As I watch you walk away,
Another town, not far away,
Another's arms, you're gone astray.

My eyes will swell,
With the tears they hold,
As I think of your return,
And the lies I'll be told.

Tell me dear, what have I done,
That seem so terribly bad,
Why do you feel it's right,
To always make me sad.

Yet it's me that you hold,
In your arms each night,
And say how much you love me,
I tell you that isn't right.

For another fills your heart,
Your love is just for her alone,
So when you walk away,
Why do you always come back home.

For another day, it seem so wrong,
This time, just stay where you belong,
I've had my fill, our love is gone astray,
Don't come back home, it's best this way.

This is sad, but a great song. It pulls on the heart strings like some of the best country. I know what you mean about country music often being sad, but I guess there's alot of beauty in transforming pain into a song or poem. Nice one Rose.

Wonderful write! You've captured the essence of many country song. A lot are also about booze, although this one goes straight for the heart. I enjoyed this 'cause I'm a fan of country myself.

You're right, it is sad, like a country music love song of unriquited love, but it is effective. Hopefully next time you will be able to write about the joy of fulfilled love.

I wish I could hear this with music. Someone ought to volunteer. Great song even if sad. Victor

I can hear the sounds of Slim's guitar and Frank's piano doing a slow Hank Williams rythem to this one as you belt it out up on the stage Rose strumming on that new Yamaha six string of yours. Well done dear cuz,

This certainly could be a country song. I love it!!!
Don't come back it's best this way, if only everyone could be that certain, it is best when it is really over.
Peace, Love, and Light,
