Living My Life

I woke up early this morning
With tears strolling from my eyes,
 I realized it was caused from a dream,
That awoke me as I cried.

I sat up and thought for a time,
Of all that I've missed out on,
And vowed I'd now take notice,
Of all that's going on around.

I'd listen to the birds as they sing,
 The rain as it danced on the street,
I'd watch each day as the sun shined,
I'd smile at those I will meet.

I'd drop all my troubles in the waste can,
I'd exercise and eat properly,
I knew I  wanted to live on forever,
There's so much in my world to see.

I'd talk to my friends every week,
Keep in touch as I said I would,
I'd start living a stress free life,
So I'd live the life that I chose.

For life can go by oh so quickly,
As I dreamt as I lay there at home,
As I woke up early this morning,
With tears in my eyes all alone.
