They say we should be very careful of the words we chose to use and the tone of our voice, sometimes it's not what is said but how it is said that hurts another. Words are so easily taken wrong. Once they slip past our lips, they can never be returned, so it is best to think before we open our mouth.
Friends are so hard to come by and sometimes with the slip of the tongue, they are gone.
Words Spoken
We often say those words, We don't mean to say, It's not the words at the time, But our voice gets in the way. It's the tone that we use, For a moment we don't think ahead, Until someone gets angry, Then we wonder, what was it we said.
We make the mistake, We try to explain, but to no avail, We just make things worst, They stamper off and we feel like hell, For they were just words said, Words spoken out of line, When they slipped from our mouth, To us they seemed fine.
So be aware of words when you speak Next time you meet with a friend, Think before you decide to speak, Make sure the friendship won't end, For words often spoken too quick, To you may seem just fine, But watch your words and tone of voice, To others may sound very unkind.
Too quickly the harsh,hurtful words jump out our mouths and once out its to late to take them back and we hurt someone care for. I am sure it has happened to all of us at one time or another. Great write sis.
As I often had to remind my Mom: "Make sure your brain is in gear before your tongue starts to move." Really liked this!

I've been on this end of that many times in life and going through teaching this to the people around me right now. It's a very true statement and I tought my own children that very young. Lady J

Rose, once we've spoken words it's hard to take them back...so we must think before we speak and if we've said something wrong we should ask for forgiveness. This is a wise poem.
Many a friendship has been lost in the heat of an argument.

The Italians have a wise proverb: It tono fa la musica: the tone makes the music. If the tone is out of sync, then the music is also out of sync. Great poem, Rose. Victor
So true Rose and it is not just the ones that anger people but words that make them feel sad, inferior or even unwanted and neglected. Sarcasm can seem funny when it is being used by and to someone else but when it is to someone who cares it can be painful. Wise write you have penned.
