If Tears Could Be The Stairway
When we are sad and lonely,
Or just feeling kind of blue,
Why do we think it's then ok,
For us to want to turn to you.
When we are in desperiae need,
Why do we call upon your love,
When most of the time,
We don't think of you up above.
We think of you for a marriage,
And often for a birth or death,
If you weren't there for us in need,
We'd turn on the tears I bet.
If our tears could be the stairway,
The answer to our prayers alone,
We'd all be climbing so much faster,
On that stairway up to home.
We'd fine the energy somewhere,
And stand tall at the top above,
Expect you to solve our problems,
And promise you our love.
But now while we are healthy,
We don't feel that need for you,
Until things in our life goes sour,
Then we realize a thing or two.
When things seem to go wrong,
As they often do throughout each day,
We blame it all on you above,
Blame it on you in everyway.
But when you make us happy,
And all is going oh so fine,
We're quick to except the praise,
Each and every time.
But just for one moment,
Think of every time we cry,
If we thought tears could be the stairway,
For once we all would chose to die.
SAD to say this is true for some!
To realize that when we think of him, and talk to him, and know him in good times too, we find treasures that we never believed could be true!

very beautiful and very true. We should all count our blessings and spread joy and happiness...

This thought is so true. At one point in life or another, I think we are all somewhat guilty of taking the good in life for granted and failing to acknowledge the loving God who makes each blessing possible. Praise should not be reserved solely for births, marriages, and deaths. We should be thankful to the Lord and express it, daily.
A very moving, inspirational, and informative piece that should serve to get everyone thinking and then, acting.

Why do we call upon your love,
When most of the time,
We don't think of you up above.
Most profound, Rose, and most probably a part of our seemingly flawed inherent human makeup.
