Sharing the beautiful pictures my husband took when he was away, Gosh how I would love to go there one day. I can only imagine how he felt as he stood there watching the peaceful scenery.

Poem Artwork

Down In The Valleys,
Over The Hills

I stood there in silence,
At the beauty that lay straight ahead,
As though it were a dream,
I felt as though I were in my bed.

I could see down through the Valleys,
Far over the hills crystal clear,
I felt as though I could stretch out,
And fly if I dare.

For once I felt free,
As the birds so high up above,
I felt so much at peace,
God has given a true gift of love.

The calmness of the water,
The trees ever so green,
Nothing so beautiful before,
Have my eyes ever seen.

One of God's own creations,
Given to us to enjoy,
As I stand here and stare,
I'm so thankful I could cry.

We walk through our life,
As though we were blind,
Missing out on life's beauty,
God's gift of beauty so fine.

If we only had the time to stop and see the beauty, Rose it is everywhere, all we need to do is look hard enough.
Have you looked at a blade of grass lately?
See what I mean?

Rose,
I am so glad that your imagination is not "blind". I doubt that you have been one who has walked through life without seeing. Continue to feel that freedom and peace. You share it so well.
My very best

Beauty is indeed all around us. We just need to take the time to look at it, or miss out on God's beauty. As summer fades away, autumn brings an exciting array of color. Winter brings its own wonderland. And spring, the wondrousness of growth.

I think I'll look better at what God has given us.

Looking,
Kathy
