So many people leaving this world and to us it seems so unfair, we don’t fully understand and we feel they are leaving before their time. God above knows what His plan is, I prefer to feel another Angel is needed to perform an extra special chore... Today I dedicate this poem to my sister’s close friend, Gail Cook, I hope Lena and her family can understand that Our Father above have chosen to take Gail from her suffering where He will hold her in His loving arms and she will no more have to feel pain. Yes she will be sadly missed, but rest assure she is watching over you. Allow your tears to wash away the pain and keep her in your loving memories.

Time, So Much Time

Time, so much time on our hands,
Minutes, hours and weeks,
Fall into months and then a year,
How much time is there to care.
Healthy today and sick tomorrow,
Living life through sickness and sorrow.
Nothing to lose, nothing more to gain,
Just the hurt from all the pain.

Never knowing how our lives will go,
To all our loved ones strength to show.
Before we know it, our life is long gone,
We are sent to heaven, where we belong.
Greeted at the gate, by loved ones before,
As they smile and shake  hands at the door.
I look back at the loved ones down below,
They just don’t understand why I had to go.

So many tears are shed in sorrow,
The pain will ease with each tomorrow.
So much love they’ve given over the years,
That protected me from pain and fears.
I’ll now rest with the Angels in white,
Know that I’ll not suffer tonight,
I’m held In the arms of my Father here,
He’ll keep me safe and from all fear.

Rest now and be sure I am loved,
As I live my new life up above,
Soon we’ll again be side by side,
And God the Father will to be your guide.
Use only your tears, to wash the pain away,
Continue to keep me in your thoughts every day,
Until we again meet  up above the sky,
Where there’s no reason to ever cry

The only tears to shed will be ones of joy.
Tremendous in its truth and beautiful in its theme.
A nice way to end my day.
With best regards
Chris

This is beautiful! I think it is something funeral homes should give to grieving families - it may not help them in that moment, but when the pain is subsiding - it will bring them tremendous comfort.
I'm sure Gail's family and friends would a copy, to help them "over the hump" and long after.

Blessings,
Kathy

what a wonderful healing offering to your friend's family--hard as it is for us left behind to accept, God will never leave one of his children here to suffer on, when there is no other solution. You're a graceful poet and a blessing to your friends.

Thanks. Time is such a relative thing. It's good to come to terms with it early in life.
