The First Fall Of Snow

I open my curtains to take a view,
Of what God had in store today,
The beauty He shared was a sight to see,
He gave us snow but only for today.

Just like a picture He’s painted,
So perfect and so crystal clear,
As that of the first Christmas morn,
With delight that’s  filled the air.

He’s shared with us the first fall of snow,
To fill our hearts and soul with great joy,
Look for those smiles oh so wide,
On the face of each girl and boy.

We stop and we think now,
Of what we celebrate with great joy,
We bow our heads and we see Him,
Our Savior our Lord, Mary’s baby boy.

Christmas time is drawing close,
We play and watch out for the danger,
Look forward to the festivities ahead,
We think of this child laying in a manger.

The first fall of snow, oh what a delight,
The beauty that stills our heart,
What more could we ask for then this view,
To give us our good morning start.
