I guess my thoughts are of memories gone past of those who were once a part of our lives and now live in our hearts and minds.

Poem Artwork

In The Clouds

In the clouds are the pictures
of you that I hold dear.
The fond memories of a friendship,
One with you who really care.

The pictures are so bright to ponder,
A smile shared so wide and free,
It almost makes me wonder if,
This was really meant to be.

The clouds are like a daydream,
A mist so fine is in the air,
In this cloud that hold the pictures,
Of the one I hold dear.

Where are you tonight dear,
Do you rest your weary head,
I vision pictures in the clouds above,
As I too rest dear on my bed.

High in the clouds above the heavens,
Where you are watching from up above.
Always know that you were important,
Always know how much you were loved.

I loved the way that you made the symbolizism between the clouds and your memories. I too, catch myself every now and then looking to the sky to seek an answer from my dad or son or best friend that has passed on. Thank you for sharing, dear Rose.

The clouds have to many been somthing of a portal that we can look into and let our minds see what we wish to see, each one different and amusing and like the people in our lives always changing and eventually each must go it's own way. Yet like people we can look again and again and when we chose they will be there. Lovely write dear cousin and I know a lot of those you look towards the heavens to see are looking back at you and smiling at how much you mean to them.
