I was inspired to write this the other day when Georg Mateos put the thought in my mind from his review, thank you Georg, hope you don't mind. As you whispered, I was whispering back.

Poem Artwork

It Was My Voice, Our Memories

It was my voice you heard in a whisper,
As you walked along the sand.
It was the gentle breeze you felt,
As I reached out for your hand.

It was the way I looked at you,
That caused you dear to smile.
You held my hand as You walked with me,
Along the sands through each and every mile.

It was my love for you alone,
That made your heart beat fast,
It was the very memories we made,
That were meant to forever last.

It was those thoughts that haunt you,
As you walk along the shore today,
The whisper in the air,
The love that will never go astray.

A love so very pure and strong,
That will always make you smile,
That love that will follow and haunt you,
Along the sands through each and every mile.

Could be he...or her, walking on and following your tracks that were left on the wet sand before the seas take them away...
...that of your lover.
