No one can take away our memories, we may try to put things on a back burner as to say but it is and will always be there. Our memories, our thoughts and our photos of another time, another place of where and who we were.

Poem Artwork

Memories of Life’s Collection

A little piece of life’s collection,
One precious item at a time,
Photographs and written poetry,
Memories locked in one’s mind.

Softly whispered words,
Motions made between two,
Memories that are put aside,
Just to mention a selective few.

Candle lights still burning,
Movements in the mist of day,
Seductive memories made,
For two innocent loves at play.

A secret locked in darkness,
Left in the dreams for night,
Those memories locked away,
The time and place just wasn’t right.

A little piece of life’s collection,
That will never fully go away,
Long listed memories not forgotten,
To live through both night and day.

Some memories I keep on a 'back burner' to take out and relish when I need them. There is a peaceful beauty in this poem that has it's own life.

God bless you. Kathy

Memories are a beautiful thing, especially the great ones. We never want to forget them, often they keep us going for a long time and help make us stronger.

Love you sis,

How lucky we are to be able to memorize
The things we desire to

Memories is what we make all the time, even in the present which always becomes the past. A great poem, and a cute pic!

I love all the precious memories that I possess, even the not so good ones -- all in all, they have helped mold me to whom I am today. Wonderful write.

The first verse of this poem brings a host of memories clamoring for attention.

Then it seems to focus on one memory wistfully put aside for reasons not revealed to the reader.

Sentimental and wistful.

Coal-Cracker hugs,

Connie
p.s. I'm editing this now, after the picture appeared. I read it first without seeing the handsome dude looking over his shoulder at you!

Oh, Rosie, you sure do have talent.
I can only hope that someday I'll have the ability to write as beautifully and touchingly as you already do.
Love always, Natasha, xo.

Rose,
As I read your poem, I could not help but think of all the lovely memories and treasured moments that I had placed on the back burner, while dealing with other things.

This is a beautiful poem; thanks for sharing it.

Those are the parts or recollections of our memories that we can call on to see us through even our bluest days. What could not be in reality can have free rein in our minds. Excellent write Dear Cuz,

A wonderful melodic poem, as it stuck me, with its cadence and the love that went into it.
