Just thought I'd be a bit different today no rhyming , just a thought that came to me about others that have to mend their own broken hearts for one reason or another in ways that can make them smile.
Today is For The Mending
I looked into your eyes,
There were tears,
Tears of joy & excitement,
For today you would return,
From the pain & suffering,
Of the lost love,
The broken heart,
That’s been mending.
Today your heart is filled,
With joy, love & laughter,
Today you share yourself,
With newfound love,
A special friend,
Someone you will depend on
To be there for years to come.
Someone faithful to you,
Someone who will love you,
Someone who will be trusting,
A friend for life,
Today you found your partner,
Who will walk with you,
Side by side.
Today you cry tears of joy.
We all need days of mending and someone to share them with.. A great poem.....M

Very nice write, sorry for not being around for awhile - but I was quite busy with work. I am home now, but only for a few weeks and then off again. I enjoyed this poem.

We're, somewhat, on the same page, this morning. I am currently sitting here, multi-tasking, reading and reviewing poems, but also writing a poem about letting go, the pain that ensues, and finding peace in the decision.
