Someone has Stolen Our Spring

It sure seems like we have had winter for a long time or maybe it is because we have had so much snow and there is no end to it so far. We feel that we have been robbed and cheated out of Spring.
We are thankful we have Nashville to look forward to in 26 days. Smile,Smile

Poem Artwork

Someone Has Stolen Our Spring
Lacy curtains hide the sun,
From brightening your day,
Complaints of the fallin snow.
Preventing time to play,
No happy medium we see,
so far away it stays,
I wonder if Spring  will come,
or just more cloudy snowy days.

I don’t see any greenery,
No flowers allowed to bloom,
Just mountains of snow everywhere,
For the gardens there’s no room.
Some are out in BC riding,
Their Harley day after day,
Others have to keep theirs parked,
Until the snow melts away.

Its been a long winter,
We’re wishing it would just go,
Its time for Spring to blossom,
Instead of falling snow.
Eight foot high it surrounds us,
Every where we seem to look,
Someone has stolen our good weather,
Outside hiding is a crook.

Someone stealing your Spring girl? well ain't here ! ! ! because round this parts we don't know if this is Spring of Fall, with a kind of weird feelings when going out.
Go back to bed and sleep until Sommer Prince Charming say it's time.

Yes, I too, as a fellow resident of Ottawa is fed up with the snow. We joke at work that we can't even jump off the bridge cause all we will do is hit snow. Thankfully, I am spending Easter in Vancouver, and the weather out there is Spring for sure! Enjoyed the write. Nice snow tunnel you have... :-)

It's been an extremely long winter, indeed. But our Spring has finally sprung, so yours can't be too far behind.

Robins arrived in Missouri so spring must be close. I understand spring has been put in the oven and will be given to us in August!

Cute write Rose. Same goes for here in NH. Five feet high and rising. Now we have to go through Mud season before we even get to spring.

Glad I don't live in that type of region where snow is so prevalent.
