We are so proud, our son has signed up for the Military today as we also worry we are proud that he is willing to do for his Country. The picture is of our son with his Dad who is in full uniform. Are we proud oh yes.
The Pride In Our Eyes
You don’t know how proud we were
The day you came along
To join our happy family
Where we knew you did belong
You took that journey
As we followed you through life
How very proud you made us son
Taking this special lady for your wife
Soon you showered us with children
A special piece of you with us to share
Two perfect grandchildren
Who like their precious parents
Would grow to love and care
Today we watch you take another step
A direction you passed many years ago
We salute you for the man we see
Through the years with pride
Hoping that we somehow helped
By being not just your parents but your guide
Always remember the words that we’ve said

My salute goes out to young Freddy as well, as your son and my cousin I know he will make a great serving member of our Canadian Armed Forces. Way to go Freddy.

Heartfelt poem, having been to some war torn zones of this world and knowing what our men and women go through on a daily basis, Kudos to him. I am sure that he will continue to keep you proud! Well written.
Sis this poem is so beautiful, and I can certainly see his father's eyes beaming with pride. If the force's does for him as it did his father, way to go.
May God always look after our Brother in Arms, because in those fox holes doesn't it matter what flag you are under but which buddies cover your back.
The house of your son are the one full of honor and courage.
may God be with him wherever he is assigned and may he stay alert and safe (and well-funded!)

Pride, what pride..... I'm proud of all my children, but to take on the task of defending your country is very important. Only those who have Served, know the feelings you have for those who Serve. Proud doesn't say enough for the feelings I have for all my Childred.

Yes ,you should be very proud,my 21 year old cousin is heading overseas very soon....and proud we all are of him and many other's.Your son is so very lucky to have such wonderful, and caring parents in his life,I wish him the best in his field of work..stay safe and well all of you...Hugsssssssssssssssssss
