We accept this as our life with no thoughts of what tomorrow may bring. We plan our days our many wishes and dreams to succeed in life yet we have no choice but to accept and work with what tommorrow may toss our way. What we want and plan may be quiet the opposite of what we receive for tomorrow is the unknown.

The Unknown

We gather our thoughts to where we chose to be,
or to where we have no choice but to go.
Our minds must follow where our bodies lead us
Through our journey in life.
Where might that be we often wonder.
Today it is called the Unknown,
For we cannot predict our tomorrows.
Today the sun may shine,
The rain may fall from Heaven
But tomorrow my friend
To all is the unknown
We can wish
or hope
BUT
 Tomorrow
Will fulfill us,
As the many surprises to
come is the unknown to all of us
For we cannot decide or change today
What tomorrow may bring into our happy lives
We cannot prepare ourselves today for the unknown
or the surprises of our tomorrows for what has not been
We have to accept what is laid out for us through each day
Accepting it and coping with it with a smile or with a falling tear
For tomorrow is the unknown to each of us, as we bathe in the unexpected.
We can wish or hope BUT tomorrow will fulfill us with the unknown surprises.

A beautiful photograph depicting all the tomorrows! Changing those things within our humble power to change and learning to accept all else for what it is worth. Well said, soothing and very inspirational....

Be always safe,

A beautiful form, Rose. Especially like your thoughts/questioning dwindling to BUT...then developing your optimism/answers. Delightful to read and absorb!!

Hourglass form, is it?

I love the message and the hour-glass format. Really cool! Yep, like a tiny grain of sand, I flow from the bigness of yesterday, through the narrow neck of today, and on to the wide surprises of tomorrow. Do I control any of this? Maybe a few little details and choices. Mostly, life is a wild ride, sometimes entertaining, sometimes exalting, and sometimes devestating, but always unexpected. Thus, life is made worth living.

I love how you visually presented your poem. I am instantly brought towards the thought of time and how we have no hold on it. Your symbolizing compliments your words wonderfully. Thank you for sharing.
