My husband just sent me those pis he took on his travel through British Columbia, he said they were right on the side of the road and appeared to have no fear of traffic or people staring at them. Precious innocent creatures.
Freedom Runs
Innocently they gather,
To feast upon Mother earth.
They carefully teach their young ones,
From the day that they gave birth.
They seem to be so trusting,
They don’t rush to scoot,
They never think of those,
Who wouldn’t think twice to shoot.
Freedom runs across the field,
Not thinking with fear,
Believing that all is peaceful,
As though all folks care.
Innocently they run and play,
Chase each other having fun,
Thinking Mother earth is theirs,
As they freely run.
So innocently they gather,
To feast upon Mother earth.
Teaching their young survival,
From the day that they gave birth.
yes,, I love watching nature,, mangificent displays all around us.
My back yard has deer every night, along with wild turkeys and pheasants.

I so enjoyed this. Out back we've deer running free, they even stare you in the eye. I'm glad hunting is not legal here, nor the right to bare arms of any object that my be used with intent...
If we were so lucky...but our freedom has been tied down with mortgages, rents, amortizations, nine-to-five, night-shifts, commuting...
Freedom we had once, now we are slaves of our own desires.
Thinking Mother earth is theirs,

Mother Earth should truly belong to all of its wondrously diverse and magnificent creatures. But it seems that only we human beings still have difficulty with this ancient concept.

Very well done Rose, and I have experienced the sight of these as well when brother John and I drove across the Rockies to BC a while ago. It does blow the mind away to be able to see these huge majestic animals up close and personal...but not too close.
