The First Fall Of Snow

I’ll try to share this news with you,
The first Fall of snow is finally here it’s true .
The first fall of snow, no warning in sight,
The snow it fell fiercly, all through the night.

It covered everything we could see,
Stayed around to mess with you and me.
The news told of this sane condition,
While giving the warning of all collisions.

Should we venture out or stay at home,
Was this how many thought or just us alone.
The winds howled all through the night,
Blowing freezing snow with all it’s might.

Snow drifts settled all around,
Making it slippery on all the ground.
Vision is poor, for you can’t really see,
Maybe at home is where we should be.

Just thought while I’m laying here to rest,
I’d share this with you, get it off my chest.
I don’t find it funny for the first sight of snow,
But it do look pretty with it’s glow.

We’ve had enough to last is all winter long,
Already we’re wishing it was long gone.
The snow blower works, snow tires are on,
Looks like our winter will surely be long.
