This is a nice synopsis of family living the way that it never was, (for me).
In an Ozzie and Harriet world, we would all be changing the oil on Saturdays, and going to church on Sundays, and every year..."Over the river and through the woods to grandmothers house we go!"

Wonderful thoughts Rose sadly doesn't happen all that often but maybe we as grandparents are able to show the way for future generations by doing our part at least.

"What a wonderful life it could be." -- Yes it surely could and I wish it would be that way for every person. In only five little bitty simple stanzas, you summed up the morals/ethics I taught myself from childhood. I sure messed up badly a few times getting to that path, but it was very much worth the effort.

Beautiful my friend...you've captured it well as you say though it does not always happen this way, but we learn to take the bad with the good, pick and choose our battles, thank the Lord for every day and our family and know that the tomorrow is another day! Loved it!
